ALIEN LIFE
ET EVIDENCE
· Panel of experts to
study evidence of UFOs
The Society for Scientific Exploration seems to think there may be more the UFO evidence nine scientists from France, Germany and the US was convened to review evidence including, spectroscopic data, video records, photographs, material specimens, radar records, and radiation type injuries sustained by witnesses, in an effort to scientifically unravel this 50-year-old mystery.
· Alien embryo pronounced
a hoax after extensive tests
In Sept 1997, a vial like jar containing a strange embryo was found in the car of a murdered man in Puerto Rico. Police officers at the crime scene described the find as a “fetus of non-human appearance”, resembling the fabled Chupacabras, a Puerto Rican creature with large almond eyes that purportedly attacks animals and people. Despite high- security forensic testing, the local television station later claimed the embryo was only a souvenir key-chain with a plastic alien figurine inside a crystalline jar.
· Communication on
a canvas of crops
Crop circles have mysteriously appeared in fields all around the world. Crop circles are areas of flattened crop, usually circular in shape and often forming very elaborate patterns. Researchers investigating the phenomenon admit that many crop circles are man-made, created in order to land support to the hoax idea, but still more have genuinely unknown origins. Careful study has revealed themes in the formations, such as the proliferation of insectograms, and more curious still is the fact that as yet there is no adequate explanation to account for the mechanical and electrical failures experienced within certain crop circle formations.
· Drilling for evidence
of aliens under ice
Xenobiologists looking for evidence of alien life are hoping for a breakthrough here on Earth. If they succeed in finding evidence of life in Lake Vostok, buried 3.7 km below the Antarctic ice sheet, it implies that life could exist under the ice in similar lakes on Europe, a moon of Jupiter. Ice cores retrieved from a depth of 100 m of the lake revealed 200,000 year old frozen algae which was brought back to life in a laboratory.
SPACE
· Searching for
extraterrestrial intelligence
SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) in an effort to detect evidence of the existence of technological civizations elsewhere in the universe. NASA’s SETI Program, known as the High Resolution Microwave Survey, ended in 1993 after congressional funding was cut. The SETI Institute is a non-profit organization which acts as the institutional home for research relating to the study of life in the universe.
· NASA searches for
other Earth-like planets
Scheduled to set out on its mission in the first decade of the next century, the Terrestrial Planet Finder (TPF) will search for other atmospheres as part of NASA’s Origins Program. The TPF contains an interferometer, which is a type of observatory consisting of several telescopes which function as one to produce an extremely sharp image. To ensure maximum sensitivity the TPF will be sent as far as the orbit of Jupiter.
